Simple Chewy and Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:


½ cup granulated sugar

¾ cup brown sugar

1 tsp salt

½ cup(1 stick) butter, melted

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

1 cup chocolate chips(add more if desired)


Instructions:


  1. Preheat oven to 350℉

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugars, salt, & butter until a paste has formed with no lumps.

  3. Whisk in the egg and vanilla, beating until light ribbons fall off the whisk.

  4. Sift in the flour and baking soda, then fold the mixture in with a spatula, being careful to not overmix.

  5. Fold in chocolate chips and chill dough for 1hr(or more depending on how much time you have)

  6. Scoop dough with ice cream scoop onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, leaving some space between cookies.

  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Cool slightly, and enjoy! (Best when still slightly warm!)
